Last Purchase: H&M Dress

I bought this dress from H&M today, I was looking for something smart but casual for a job interview. I hate waiting for things to arrive in the mail!

Tried and Tested: Benefit Porefessional

I received a free sample of this product with a magazine not too long ago and I had been dying to try it out after reading good reviews online. I normally use L’Oreal Paris Studio Secrets Primer underneath my daily foundation, but I’m running out and felt like trying something new. This product is a little pricey, hence why I was initially reluctant to purchase it myself. The main pro of this product is that it isn’t greasy and it feels like velvet on your sensitive facial skin. I can’t say that I noticed any changes in my skin such as breakouts whilst I had been wearing the product for a couple of days, and my pores certainly appeared smaller. The only con is the price. For what it does, I’d say that the price is a little steep! However if you have the cash to spend, I’d recommend it above most other primers I have tried out! You can also use it over makeup for a dewy fresh look, which I tried on a recent trip out to the beach! People commented saying I looked really healthy, so I guess that trick worked! You can buy Benefit products from benefitcosmetics.co.uk (the website’s really cool!)

Modern Fashion Icon: Lana Del Rey

Modern Fashion Icon: Lana Del Rey. First off, if you haven’t heard of this girl, you must have been living under a very large, soundproof rock for the past year. She seems to have provoked a rather “love her or hate her” reaction from the world and I for one can’t get enough of her. When she’s not dazzling with her melodic voice and summery tunes, she’s stunning with her off-beat, eye-catching style. And that HAIR. Don’t get me started on that. That’s a whole different story.

This tutorial is great if you want to replicate Lana Del Rey’s gorgeous style without looking to gimicky - www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4jfbx6EdRk

You can buy Lana’s debut album “Born to Die” online and in stores now.

Highstreet Fashion: Forever 21

I have discovered my dream shop. Being from England, I hadn’t heard of Forever 21 until very recently while flicking through a magazine. I saw a few dresses I fancied and it led me to the Forever 21 website. The rest of the world may be laughing at my quaint English naiveté but wow, I can tell I am going to be spending a LOT of money at this store. I particularly like the Houndstooth Pleated Shirtdress and the Lace Combo Dress with the belt. I don’t know why, but I expected the clothing to be a little over the top and garish, but I’m impressed by the simple shapes and bold colours. The jewellery and footwear aren’t half bad either! Time to spend!

If like me, you’d never heard of this store until now, check it out! forever21.com x
